Men's Medieval Clothing

Medieval clothing for men is the foundation on which to begin building your character, whether you are attending a LARP event, a Renaissance or medieval fair or wedding, a historical reenactment, a photo shoot, recording reels for social media, or a theatre or film production.

Basically, medieval clothing for men consists of the following sections. On top: shirts, tunics, tabards, waistcoats, jackets, hats, hoods, gorgets and capes. And on the bottom: trousers and greaves. All of these can be combined in different ways to achieve any desired outfit, and by adding accessories such as belts, bags, weapon holders, and even leather or plate armour, the ensemble looks completely authentic and realistic.

To create the desired character, whether a legendary hero, an adventurous traveller, or a brave mercenary, the accessories you choose will be essential in giving the character realism. The basis of the outfit would be a shirt or tunic, along with trousers. From there, the accessories will shape the identity of our avatar. If we choose a tabard or waistcoat, we will give him a more chivalrous character, and if, on the contrary, we add a leather waistcoat, a cape or a hood, we will define a more adventurous character.

In short, accessories are essential for characterising our protagonist. They must be combined correctly and coherently, and more accessories do not always result in a better outfit; sometimes a few well-chosen items are more than enough to create a well-defined and credible identity.
