It’s important to keep in mind that shoulder pieces, even just one, can limit your movement. At the same time, they provide more coverage, so it depends on how and why you want to use them. If you want to portray a noble or legendary character, a more complete combination makes sense, just as it does if you want practical protection for LARP. On the other hand, if you value mobility and a lighter setup for play, or your character’s identity calls for fewer metal elements, it’s better to go with simpler shoulder armor or choose just one pauldron.
To avoid bumps or pinching, the straps and adjustments need to be positioned correctly.
If you combine plate Pauldrons and shoulder amour with other pieces, it shouldn’t be treated as a separate element.
